2. I hope this disabuses anyone of the notion that individual votes don't matter!
Every vote matters.

3. Go, Al!
We'll all have to find some spare change around the house and donate to Al - he was on the Ed Schultz show today. Donations will assist in making sure that there is a fair recount.

4. This is driving me nuts, I keep wondering if I couldn't have convinced just one more
voter when I door knocked. And if every other door knocker had convinced just one more. ARRRGGGHHH

13. Heck, convincing one person for every four counties would have wrapped it up.
Darn. I hate the "if only I hadn't taken that one day off" feeling.

17. No, there are 87 counties
so we would have needed about 3 people per county.

18. Honestly? That was embarrassing. Once I did the rough division in my head,
I got to "just under 4," so then, hey, one person per four counties!

10. YES!!

I'm actually metaphysically certain that Al's going to win this. And apparently Mr. Ed agrees with me, given his 2000-era rhetoric about how costly a recount would be, and how Al should just shut it down for the "good of Minnesota," or whatever horsebleep.

14. Military votes? Many states allow military votes to be counted if they are postmarked by election
day and arrive within 10 days after election day. Anyone know if there are any of those out there still? Late arriving military votes killed Gore in Florida in 2000. I suspect this time military votes would be more evenly split Dem-Rep or even slightly favor Dem.

http://www.startribune.com/politics/state/34024274.html

The latest unofficial results collected by the Minnesota Secretary of State's Office of Tuesday's vote now show Coleman with a 236-vote lead over Franken. That's down from 725 Wednesday morning.

The Secretary of State's Office website has adjusted those numbers several times since Tuesday night, most often tightening the gap. The official tally will come once the state canvassing board meets Nov. 18. Then the recount follows.

The difference will continue to change slightly over the next week or two as counties go back and double-check their figures, the office has said.

16. That idiot Coleman already told Al...
...to not request a recount and said he would do the same thing in the same situation. Oh, the irony if Franken can get even 1 vote in front prior to the recount.

24. 2AM Nov 5th Coleman sent representatives out to "guard" the ballots.
He was expecting to have to ask for the recount himself.

This race is way inside the MOE for the voting system used.

25. Is TranslatorGate getting any traction?
I heard something about charges against Colman/GOP "translators" insinuating themselves
into "assisting" minorities who had language barriers; then steering same minority voters
to vote for Coleman.

Anything more on this? If these charges can be proven true, it should disqualify Colman's
candidacy.
