Did Anyone Just See Democrat, Roland Martin, Praise Blacks For Supporting Prop 8, and Says Obama
supports it as well?

This man needs to be banned from the airwaves.

What a miserable little bigot! He went on and on and on about how blacks defy gays, and how it's the Democratic Party's problem if they don't like their bigotry.

2. Yeahhhh....
Well, we're going to have to educate him.

"Liberty and justice for all" means liberty and justice for all, Mr. Martin.

3. I had about all I could take of him on election night..........
There's so much hypocrisy in his stances I wouldn't know where to begin. So I usually just shut him off.

when it comes to social issues and that the gop used robo-calls using Obama's voice. He pretty much called these voters low info voters. He also said that Obama didn't come out strong enough for prop 8.

17. Wow, that's a totally different slant than the o.p. gave. I wonder if he
has an agenda? I heard a similar call on Randi's show this afternoon. The caller said he was gay, and that he voted for Obama, and that "they" were already taking away his rights. Randi tried her best to explain to him that Obama hasn't taken the oath of office yet, and that this was California's decision (a state matter), and Obama had nothing to do with said decision. Obama had quite a few things on his plate the last few days, so I'm not quite sure what they were expecting him to do?

18. Thanks for clarifying, ej510.
I like Roland, typically, and was to be shocked if the OP was true.

He just graduated from divinity school in Texas. So he is socially conservative on issues like Prop 8 and others.

8. Obama does not support Gay Marraige and neither does the Democratic Party Platform.
Edited on Thu Nov-06-08 06:31 PM by SweetieD
Which might have been what Roland was referring to. However, Obama said that he opposed prop 8, because amending the constitution would be legally improper. And as far as Roland, like someone else said he is a minister, so he's probably got some religion argument as to why he supported prop 8.

Roland got called out for his ex-gay bigotry with his wife's ministry. Look how he tries to backtrack and double talk.

19. Are there any African-American leaders of GLBT organizations that could debate him?
IMO, GLBT organizations cannot control what bigots like Roland Martin say, but they CAN control who speaks for themselves day in and day out.
