Is this a goofy idea?
They're getting a new DNC Chairman, which leaves Howard Dean, I mean, Dr. Howard Dean, without a job.

Why can't he take on the job of White House physician? With computers to get advice from experts all over the world (and maybe if she's willing, Mrs. Dr. Howard Dean could accompany him), the good doctor could handle it no matter how rusty he is.

I know, I know, very dumb... but I like it.

6. Is it a fact that there will be a new DNC chair?
Or might Dean take a second term? Has it been decided/announced or is this speculation?

7. It's decided - He was on MSNBC today and somebody mentioned it..
No one mentioned who the successor might be. There has to be a vote.

8. Awww.... :-(
I sure hope they will pick someone who is also dedicated to Doc's 50 state strategy. He really came through for us.

10. Hey, if he does for national health care what he did for the DNC...
we're going to be one helluva healthy country....

Maybe Sec. of HEW or Surgeon General would fit him just fine.

12. That is disappointing for me to hear....I'd been wondering about this. Tell me
is he leaving because he wants to move on or does Obama want a different replacement.

Even more so than Obama, I credit Dean with saving the party.....I was really hoping that he would stay on at least until the 2010 midterms so that we keep a majority in the Congress.

Can you fill me in on this or give me a link where I can read more about it.

Wahhh! I was really hoping that he was gonna stick around.

13. Norah ODonnel had him on early today. don't know if msnbc would have something on it...
I love Howard Dean. Surgeon General, Sec. HEW, he would do miracles there just as he did for the DNC.

14. I CANNOT FIND A STORY on this,
Perhaps they were speaking of the future, but not the immediate future.

But I do think that Dr. Dean has such a firm policy established in the DNC that his most trusted people could handle it now. His expertise in organization and in medicine would make him better suited to a policy job, I think.

I found that he was on a live webcast for the National Press Club 11/6 with RNC Chairman, but the NPC does not have a replay or printout...

I wonder if Cspan had it.
