Obamas will visit the Bushes at the White House on Monday
President-elect Barack Obama and his wife Michelle will be paying their first visit to the White House since the election on Monday.

Obama aides released this statement from the Democratic senator a few minutes ago:

"Michelle and I look forward to meeting with President Bush and the First Lady on Monday to begin the process of a smooth, effective transition. I thank him for reaching out in the spirit of bipartisanship that will be required to meet the many challenges we face as a nation."

New Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel will also attend the measure the drapes. When asked by Current chief Josh Bolton if he could wait, Emanuel replied, "fuck off."

3. I was thinking that perhaps they could stage a Barney rescue...
Didn't they say they were getting a rescue dog?

6. Toughest part of Day 1 will be getting the bush stink out.
Advice to Obama family: Change the toilet seats and clean the hell out of the rugs.

7. That's not all Emanuel said....
When questioned about the DLC Emanuel said, "Those fuckers lost in the primaries, fuck them, I'm with the fucking winning team now."

On facing down the many challenges an Obama Administration will face, Emanual said, "Listen here asshole, we're gonna fucking fix these fucking problems."

When a senior Reporter asked for an interview with President Elect Obama, Emanual replied, "Get in line asshole."

Finally, Emanuel was overheard exclaming just before slamming the door in our face, "Fucking assholes."

Because the DLC lives in 5 new senate seats and the agenda Obama will be setting.

The rest, yeah, I believe it.

9. Ironically, I think Obama will have a smoother transition than McCain would have had in some respect
Not that there's any love lost between Bush and Obama, but I honestly think there is more personal animosity between McCain and Bush, and while I'm sure Obama hates Bush as president as much as any other Democrat, there's probably less personal animosity. Obama came to Washington after 2004, so from the first chapter in his book it seems like he does not necessarily share some of the bitterness that Democrats who were there before 2004 had, and Bush has no reason to hate Obama personally. On the other hand, transition between staffs will probably be much rockier, because I'm sure the outgoing Republicans resent Obama winning. Although unlike in 2000, they have no reason to see Obama as illegitimate, and many Republicans even seem to think they deserved to lose.

12. Wonder how many liquor bottles and cigarettes Michelle will find behind the sofas and drapes?
Honestly, I expect that will be the shortest meeting in whitehouse history.

Barack had so many huge crowds worshipping him. That's what Dumya always wanted and never got.

And remember, Barack was Harvard first in class. That trumps the chimp's last at Yale, and so, this will be a formal photo op and nothing more.

If I were Michelle, I'd have a good stiff belt before getting in the limo. And one upon getting back in.

These people are oil and water.
