My Election Night Story
I am 19 years old and this was my first election. I was watching the results with three other college students and we were all extremely excited with what was about to happen. In the week leading up to the election all I could do was think about watching the 2004 race on TV. Watching Bush carry the state of Ohio. I was completely devastated. Last night when I watched Obama win Ohio, it hit me, we finally have a Democrat in office. I turned to my sister and said we actually have a black President! My sister talked to my aunt who was always a republican but voted for Obama and she told us how she was crying watching his accpetance speech. Every one in the room was so proud. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have participated in this historic election. And it wasn't only the presidential race. In California I voted against Prop 8 and even though it passed I could say that I voted against discrimination when I had the opportunity. Thank You all for making this election such a great experience for me. Even though we won the hard work os not over and I look forward to discussing everything here!

2. Good post, yes, and also, it was the younger people
Getting out the vote, tipping Obama upward, that and the fact that now the majority of Americans get their perception of the candidates from the internet and not the Mainstream Media.
