Only 400 vote difference out of 1.2 million.

8. The remaining votes come from the blue areas
Which is why I was predicting a Merkley win when I went to bed last night. Smith was leading but if you looked at the MSNBC and CNN maps there was still a lot of outstanding votes in and around Portland.

12. The votes left are from Multnomah Co. (Portland) which is going for Merkley by a 67-29% margin
and Lane Co. (Eugene) which is 58-38%
