I've never been much of a flag flying person. I had nothing against the flag. Never burned one or anything. I just never attached a lot of personal meaning to it.
But my sister just called and said something that really resonated with me. We did good yesterday. It's okay to be proud of it. It's time to come in out of the wilderness and show pride in our home. She's going to fly the flag over her house to show she is proud of our newly elected President and optimistic for what we'll be able to accomplish over the next 8 years.
I think she's right. I wonder where I can get a flag around here.
