New Mexico turns 100% BLUE!!
I'd like to congratulate our new members of Congress:

Senator Tom Udall who defeated Steve Pearce 61% to 39%
Congressman Martin Heinrich (CD-1) who defeated Darren White 55% to 45%
Congressman Harry Teague (CD-2) who defeated Ed Tinsley 55% to 45%
Congressman Ben Ray Lujan (CD-3) who defeated Daniel East 56% to 30%

These are fine men, all. I am especially proud of Tom Udall, though, who will do us very proud as he has already done in the House.

They join Gov. Bill Richardson, and Senator Jeff Bingaman to turn our state COMPLETELY BLUE.

We are the ONLY 100% BLUE STATE West of the Mississippi. Take THAT GOPers!!

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

3. Congrats!
CA can never be totally blue like that due to its diverse regions--hell, we even passed that stupid prop 8.

6. That is incredibly cool
All blue! And NM's population is likely getting bluer by the day. Great place to be a Democrat right now!

9. Udall

Is one of my favorite names in politics...I'm even more fond of the Udall in Colorado.

11. Kick some of that blueness up to San Juan County.
That place is still a Freeper hell every time I go back. :( Great thing about a Senator Udall is that he's at least able to carry SJC (by 3 votes in '06, not sure how he did this time). :D

12. Is that state legislature majority Dem? Don't mean to rain on the parade...
But I think the qualify as a truly 100% blue state, you need a Dem legislature too.

13. Okay, now I'm really confused
It was easy enough, admitting the new pledges (VA, NC, FL) into the Eastern Liberal Elite.

Ohio and Indiana was stretching it, but at least they are east of the Mississippi.

But New Mexico? I'd ask California to admit you to the Decadent West Coast Hollywood Liberals Club, but they're temporarily (I hope) on probation because they drank too much Mormon propaganda and trashed their own house.

Oregon? Washington? Can you take care of this?

:-)
