Just Logged On This AM, But Has ANYONE Posted About Ralph Nader's

Uncle Tom comment on Fox last night! I was so infuriated by what he said and his downright nastiness when the local anchor actually asked him if he might not want to change his Uncle Tom reference. Nader went off on a rant that was so hateful that I have lost ALL respect for him.

Yes, I realize he's done many things in the past that were very positive and his issues have been forward thinking... but now he seems to have become a very, very "bitter" man!

Sorry if this has been talked about, but I wanted to listen to C-Span and hear the feed back from people around the nation.

Oh, and the only reason I heard the comment was because my default station is Fox and I wanted to check out our local candidates and how they were doing. Wish I had NEVER done that, but Sarasota County has yet to be called because it's 50-50 here. Well, it may have been called by now, but to have been THAT CLOSE in THIS COUNTY is... the correct words escape me!

I was surprised. I was channel surfing just trying to get a sense of reactions, saw Nader and parked it on Fox. I was amazed at the reactions from the Fox people - they were positively appalled, which is surprising since I thought they would share the sentiment.

my default channel is FOX and I just happened to switch just as he was talking. I wasn't SURE it was Nader until I saw his face. And The guy even ASKED him if he didn't want to re-think or retract what he said!

Ralph Nader got even more vitriolic and I sat there with my mouth open! It was truly awful to hear what he was saying. He even tried pissing off the anchor by saying he knew he was trying to "bait" him or something like that!

I wonder if Nader even knows what damage he's done to himself. NOW, I don't see how anyone could support him EVER AGAIN!!

Living in Florida, I have a special grievance against him... still had Gore won... we would have had Lieberman!! But Lieberman was DIFFERENT way back then! He's another back-stabber but it looks like the Democrats "may" have to put up with his "caucusing" with them!! I so wish they could "kick his ass" out of the Senate!!!

14. Nader said all of that on purpose

He can't stand not playing some role in the elections and having his name brought up over and over again. This election, his role was minuscule, if at all and he had to do something to get his name back in the conversation.

16. Uncle Tom's Cabin - I never have read it... was Uncle Tom a

black overseer who was cruel to other blacks during the days of slavery? Is that the idea Nader was trying to get? I think he was trying to get a sound bite or slogan people could remember. Don't know why Uncle Tom is so insulting. Can somebody enlighten me? Nader's making assumptions about Obama which are overboard...

The rest of what he said about not having a living wage and holding Obama's feet to the fire with respect to standing up to multinational corporations I agree with. The Fox guy was insulting Nader by baiting him by saying he was statistically insignificant now.
