Can you imagine the type of Supreme Court Justices Barack
will appoint. I have been so happy that I did not think about that. He will make thoughtful choices. This is very important since many are reaching the age where they want to retire....

2. I bet Stevens retires in 2009
Maybe Ginsberg steps down as well.

The 4 hard right Republicans will all attempt to hold on, however.

3. This is terribly important, and he will fill at least 2 positions, IMO.
You can bet they will be somewhat young, for starters. The new SC could be key for future national voting reform, as they would be more likely to uphold changes to Diebold-proof our elections, and to empower every American who wants to vote to do so (many more voting stations, early voting in every state). You just know that Repubs will be taking everything they can to the high courts.

4. I'm honestly wondering..
.. if Kennedy is getting tired up there on the bench. It's been 20 years for him now, and he's 72 years old.

It'd be a shocker, I think, but I can't rule-out the possibility..

5. And hopefully, he fills these seats with young people. It is the one of the things that galls me
when Thomas flaunts his "youth" and tells us how long he will be there so get over the past.
