I am so proud of DU and DUers

In my short 21 months here, I have learned an incredible amount about politics, campaigns, US history, and getting involved. I have gotten involved in not only the Obama campaign, but local campaigns as well. Tonight was such a fruitful, emotional, wonderful night, that I cannot possibly explain. Overcoming my fears of knocking on doors of perfect strangers, donating a considerable amount to campaigns, and watching people around me get excited about politics for the first time in their lives. My life has changed thanks to DU, my outlook is different. Things are not always rosy (on DU and otherwise), but our deep desire to change our nation to make millions of lives better has resulted in a new beginning. Tomorrow begins the next chapter in American history, and though change will take time, it is more likely than ever to happen. Eyes have been opened, courageous people such as youselves have fought and sacrificed to make a difference, and I am so grateful to be in the cyber-presence of such mentally tough, unyielding people. The nation, and world, are better off due to the action of folks like you. Thank you, thank you, and I promise to get my hands dirtier with each day, with DU as my guide. Fellow passionate Democrats, enjoy the moment, tomorrow we continue the endless fight together!
