Why won't Bush personally respond to the damaging uncovered reports?
Is he admitting they are true by his silence? If not, why wouldn't Bush take every opportunity to elaborate on his selfless service for this nation?

What other documents are still buried? Why won't Bush authorize release of all of the records?

1. Rove hasn't come up with good enough talking points yet.
And Shrub isn't smart enough to be trusted not to completely meltdown in an interview.

3. He can't
The best he can do is have people repeat for him, "He got an honorable discharge" and wait for it to go away. If he tries lying, he'll be caught. If he speaks up himself, he'll have to answer questions.

4. I think because his nose..
would grow by a foot every time he opened his mouth on the subject. Just a guess that Karl Geppetto Rove won't let his little Pinocchio talk to the media. I mean, besides the fact that the man has trouble stringing together two consequetive declarative sentences that make sense.

6. NPR did a piece on "Bush's Brain," and Karl Rove stated that
when you get the opponent answering questions that have been raised, then you have WON. Therefore, for Bush to not answer ANY questions concerning his credibility means Rove is directly coaching him not to, because it goes against everything Atwater-Rove have worked hard to accomplish. HOWEVER, if the media insist, then Rove would crumble because he's tactics would be challenged. Let's see what the media does? I think the media will give Cheney/Bush a free pass. The media is owned by Bush-backers, the 'reporters' are just sounding boards for the board rooms. The democrats should have paid attention to these huge monopolies in the media. The democrats in Congress should be investigating many things right now. I'm really disappointed in my representatives.

7. Simple
It has worked so far. He never acknowledges negative press unless he's sure some positive spin can be put on it for his own benefit or that he can turn it into a barb aimed at someone else.

Borscht = human teflon.

then the election is as good as over. You think Chris Matthews will say this on his show tonight?

11. Since the author is dead ....
claim they are fakes and you can discredit a lot of the attack - because the originator may not be able to prove they are authentic. Too easy.

12. careful, careful
I'm sure they're checking their database to see what they can say. At this point, they have to be ultra careful because so much is out there in the form of government documents. Tie in the additional statements they've made already, and you have some severe parameters on what you can say.

18. Isn't it interesting that every official document
that came up during Kerry's "scandal" supported his story FULLY.

The exact opposite is the case for Bush.

He can't handle any sort of personal confrontation or questions. Just remember his last real press conference when nothing 'popped into his head'.

Why is he afraid to come clean with the American people? I thought he was supposed to be on our side! What on earth can he be hiding behind all that secrecy? I just can't trust him.

15. Consider this: "Humma, Humma, Humma" is NOT a proper response
And with the docs in hand, that's about all he can say without admitting he was a BAD Boy back then.

17. He has an army of liars to do it for him.
Kerry must confront him at debates about his service and compare it to his own. Bush must answer then, or look like the boy who's daddy always bailed him out of jams.
