The sound of champagne corks is roaring in my ears like ghosts of Christmas Past. Can we hold off on the celebratory threads until the job is done??

THEN we'll party like there's no tomorrow.

I resisted starting another thread, with so many silly threads here tonight, but we're getting ahead of ourselves.

1. Obama has 200 EV. California is 55.
So, Obama needs 15 of the other 200+.

It's over.

2. I have to agree with you.
I'm cautiously joyful, but not going to believe it until it's totally a done deal.

15. I was here for it, and you know what? Tonight is completely different.
By every measure. If you check out the raw data breakdowns by county it looks nothing like 04. Gramps is underperforming Bush and Obama is overperforming Kerry, in pretty much every swing state.

12. I agree. The Dems have been burned too many times. Besides it is important that
people in the West get out and vote for the other offices which are also up for grabs and important propositions on their respective ballots.

4. You can wait as long as you want :)
I've been waiting eight years, and I'm happy to get carried away right now.

6. :) I'm more the type to make sure it's sewn up before I go totally freakin' wild!
Which I plan to do.. once I'm confident they can't take it away again.

5. 200 EV's for Obama already awarded, plus 75 more locked up
on the west coast equals 275 EV's, so no longer any need to be cautious.
