Al Gore Totally Rips Bush better than Kitty Kelley – Excellent Read!
Gee, Gore needs a Chapter in Kitty Kelley's new Book. He rips Bush better than she does, LOL!-NKR

THIS WEEK IN THE NEW YORKER
Albert Gore Discusses President George W. Bush
http://www.newyorker.com/press/content/

Gore is very outspoken about the Bush Administration and its policies. "I wasn't surprised by Bush's economic policies," Gore says, "but I was surprised by the foreign policy and I think he was, too. The real distinction of this Presidency is that, at the core, he is a very weak man. He projects himself as incredibly strong, but behind closed doors he is incapable of saying no to his biggest financial supporters and his coalition in the Oval Office. He's been shockingly malleable to Cheney and Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz and the whole New American Century bunch. He was rolled in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. He was too weak to resist it."

Gore also says that while he is not of the school that questions the President's intelligence, "I think his weakness is a moral weakness. I think he is a bully, and like all bullies, he's a coward when confronted with a force that he's fearful of. His reaction to the extravagant and unbelievably selfish wish list of the wealthy interest groups that put him in the White House is obsequious. The degree of obsequiousness that is involved in saying 'yes, yes, yes, yes, yes' to whatever these people want, no matter the damage and harm done to the nation as a whole—that can only come from genuine moral cowardice."

Gore, a Southern Baptist says of Bush's kind of faith, "It's a particular kind of religiosity. It's the American version of the same fundamentalist impulse that we see in Saudi Arabia, in Kashmir, in religions around the world: Hindu, Jewish, Christian, Muslim."

He hit on these themes today in Pittsburgh in a rousing speech and I hope he continues to hit them wherever he goes and remind people of this maladminstration's criminally reckless extremism.

8. I said this before on another thread about
what Gore is saying about bush..

I like the way Gore states his dislike of bush's policies..he tells it like it is. I know from reading about Gore that he has found a new freedom in being to say exactly what he wants.

17. Damn.
Al Gore is one of the best presidents we never had, right alongside RFK.

What really gets me is tgat if he was President today, thousands of people would still be alive... and he even won the election to boot.

Damn. Just... damn.

20. Gore is still PO'd he lost 2000. He & Clinton had recent "Little Talk"
to patch some hard feelings up, and he and Gore are 100% on "flight path" now on what needs to be done to drag Bush-Cheney down.

Don't mind saying that Clinton scared the hell out of us when he went down with his heart situation! But looks to be doing well and a massive amount of resources came out of the woodwork when he went down, so.....God works in strange ways is all I can say. - NKR

26. Wholy God! The statements in the original post are profound.

Damn Gore, I've always liked him. He's a great man who was hobbled by Politics.

He should've been President. He would have been one of the great ones.

This Gore statement is just absolutely brilliant:

"Also, the Republican right wing has launched a kind of civil cold war in a very ruthless fashion".
