Kidding aside, I did some IT work in the Birmingham area a few years back and everyone I met there was warm and friendly. ...espscially the African-Americans. Signs were that their economy was also it the tank. They seemed like easy Dem. votes. I just don't get it at all.

the south seems to never go DEM. Here in TN. you couldn't get a person to vote Dem unless he was a union construction worker. And only then, MAYBE. WHY OH WHY?!?! do these people vote against their best interests time and time again???
