Bush Backs Out of MO debate!!??
Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, but I just heard that the St. Louis Dispatch is reporting that Dubya backed out of the MO debate because it would be a "town hall" format and anyone from the audience could ask any question they wished. Kinda similar to those "Ask The President" town meetings he does (with his top financial supporters and by invitation-only)...can anyone confirm?

1. Kerry must still go!!!
I've heard this too but don't know how certain it is. If it's true, Kerry must NOT give in. He must tell Bush, we agreed to three debates, I will be there with you or without you.

6. I say, if it's a scheduled debate...
and * confirms and then backs out, then Kerry should have center, prime time stage to say whatever he wants for the length the debate was scheduled. Seems only fair, right? If the other team doesn't show up to the game...

9. I agree, friesianrider
if you go to the game and the other team doesn't show isn't it a forfeit? I just posted in another thread, Kerry should be making MORE of this, I havent heard a PEEP about this outside of DU.

This should be all over the place, the Kerry people should make everyone KNOW that the shithead coward asshat wont even take questions from his own citizens! This debate he's stamping his foot over is supposedly being run by Gallup. Kerry should contact them and say Ill go anyway. Chicken shit!

{poppy, karl? help me, they're gonna, gonna, ask me QUESTIONS!} :wow:

:kick:

2. Consider it confirmed
not official yet, but you can count on it:

"A Bush spokesman says the president has NOT dropped out of a proposed town hall forum at Washington University. But the Washington Post yesterday cited unnamed Bush campaign officials as saying that Bush's negotiating team wanted to opt out of the question-and-answer session with undecided voters in St. Louis over concerns that members of the audience could be partisan."

4. 'could be partisan' ??
So does that mean all this time he's only been pretending to be the President of the entire United States, when in fact he's only been President to those who agree with him ? :wow:

Wink, nudge ....

7. "the audience could be partisan"
You mean it could include democrats? Yes, that would be partisan, wouldn't it?
