Rasmussen continues to be positive--daily tracking poll for Thursday
Bush 47.5
Kerry 46.8

A statistical deadheat.

Bush has not been ahead more than four points in this poll since the convention.

GOP voters favor Bush 86-11
Dems favor Kerry 80-17 (lots of room for improvement here)
Indies favor Kerry 45-43

3. The Dems will come back to Kerry
I think they're still down a bit from Kerry's poor performance in August. The great news is his lead among independents - Gore lost indys by 3 percent in 2000 and still won the popular vote by more than 500,000. If Kerry wins indys by 3, that's a 6-point improvement over 2000 and a good sign he'll win.

7. Rasmussen was way off in '00
and they admit it. They say they have retooled. I guess we will have to wait and see who is right on November 2nd.
