How come, even though I'm 100% sure we're going to win, I'm nervous beyond belief?

I feel like I'm back in the delivery room waiting for the birth of my first child. I *KNEW* everything was going to be ok with her.... but I was still scared out of my mind. Today is like that.

3. Fool us once, shame on us
Fool us twice...won't git fooled agin! We're gun shy. We've been abused for eight years, and we're afraid to hope that things are going to go our way this time. The only thing to do is hang here with the optimists. Ignore the bummer threads. And breathe...

4. You're all in for $1,000,000 with the nut flush...no pair showing on the board
You know you have it. You know you do. You know you're opponent is going down. But that's a lot of goddamn money. That's what you're feeling right now.

9. Because every time you begin to build confidence,
a thread like "VOTING PROBLEMZ IN VA PA OH FL" pops up and just destroys it again. Goddamnit.

13. I had the best high risk pregnancy team in the country delivering my son
by c-section but when they couldn't detect the heartbeat for 10 seconds I could have died myself. They had to sedate me before the epidural. And my beautiful young man looked at me this morning and told me to please vote for Obama and Dan Saban for sheriff. He'll be 12 in February. and I'm so nervous I can barely stand it!

18. You're not the only one. I've been up since 2:00am - nervous
as a cat on a hot tin roof. Managed to doze off for a bit around 5:30 (after hanging around here for a while!)
