Imus just said bringing up Bush's record is a bad idea..
After that, he actually said that it just keeps the Swift Boat stuff alive.

Excuse me, so he thinks people are so stupid that they would think Bush's record is better than Kerry's.

-Bush was AWOL
-Bush lied about his service
-Bush did everything he could not to go to Vietnam
-There is now proof of the above three.

-Kerry won the Silver star, the Bronze star, and three Purple Hearts
-Kerry volunteered to go to Vietnam
-Kerry put himself in harms way by choosing to be captain of a Swift boat
-Kerry was credited for killing twenty men
-Kerry came back to the United States to fight for the Vietnam soldier and veterans
-Kerry served his whole adult life as a Patriot and Senator fighting for people's rights
-There is no proof of anything but what is listed above

but, by many in the media press it is a bad idea to focus on Bush's record because it would put focus on the Swift Boat Liars.

Unbelievable!!!!!

2. Imus still loves Bush he blames all the problems on Cheney
The problem with his theory is that Kerry has no control over it. Its the media doing a little work for a change and the Kelly book.

9. Since when is Imus an authority on anything?
Edited on Thu Sep-09-04 07:38 AM by punpirate
He's a radio mouth.

Shraby picked up noticeable signature differences by Bush's commander in some of the documents. Did Imus? I rest my case.

On edit, look here:

Yeah, waste your time on Imus. He likes that. As do his advertisers.

11. Look...
He's a sad and angry wrinkled of dry drunk who is well-past his shelf life date. He gets paid to spew his tired schtick far beyond his Arbitron ratings.

His last "Billy Sol Hargis" skit was effectively the end of his career. The rest is post-mortem.

12. all Bush supporters think it's a bad idea
I was laughing yesterday. A rep from Texas, I can't remember which one, said that we should not bring up any of these partisan 527's that bring up things from over 30 years ago. It's time to move on and talk about the issues at hand now. When asked if that should apply to the Swift Boats clowns. He said, "no comment". What a jerk.

13. Not saying Imus is an authority on anything, but
this is the same crap I saw last night.

They all were acting like it is a bad idea to bring up Bush's military record. Not once did I hear anyone say this about the Swift Boat Vets.

If it gets repeated over and over again, no matter who says it, the undecided will start to believe it. Like it or not, the SBVT's turned a lot of people against Kerry.

I'm just sick of the hypocrisy.

Screw him and that phoney charity ranch that he's operating. He has visions of that being his golden parachute.

19. No flames- I think Imus may be right.
First off, the democrats have to stand up and say that SWVFT are a bunch of wackos who work for the republican party and thwart them. How? By "working the refs". Badger the major media that they have a major right wing bias and if they do it enough we will get major air time to tell our side of the story. People have to write LTTE saying, in a thoughtful and intelligent manner, the flaws in this story. But then we have to let the world know that there are at least 1000+ reasons not to vote for George Bush. His war record should be irrelevant.
