Global Poll shows overwhelming Bush defeat
To whom it may concern.

OK, so I read in the newspaper today (here in Norway, you probably won't hear about this in the U.S. :) ) that someone did a global poll on the presidential election.

Thought you should know that Norwegians favored John Kerry by 74%. Only a mere 7 percent would have voted for Bush. In fact, this is the highest number of any of the countries that were polled. Only Germany has Kerry in favor by 74% as well.

This poll was made by the Program of International Policy Attitudes ved University of Maryland, and project leader Clay Ramsey said he were surprised that Norway had such a clear view of the presidential election.

It's fairly obvious that Kerry would have won in a gigantic landslide if there were a World Election. Only one out of five (!) prefers Bush over Kerry, and in fact, only three countries rates Bush higher than Kerry: Nigeria, Poland and the Philippines (What, not even Iraq or Afghanistan?).

Since your foreign policy is our domestic policy, maybe the word SHOULD be allowed to voice an official opinion on who is in charge of the greatest arsenal of nuclear weaponry in the world?

1. We did hear about it in the US
There are three or four threads going on right now actually. Thanks for the news though. Iraq and Afghanistan weren't polled. I LOVE the line about our foreign policy is your domestic policy. I like the sig too, but let's get rid of Edwards and just go with Obama.

2. This is something that Kerry could use I think
Basically everybody in the world outside the U.S. prefers that he be prez. Could be a good talking point.

3. BAD talking point. This is our country. Our election. Friends are
great to have, but this is family. We can play with the neighbors once we get our own shit straightened out.

4. Agree, bad talking point
Kerry is already accused of wanting to give the UN control over American policy. This won't help that perception.
