it's a crisp GORGEOUS day here in Dallas and I'm watching the orange and yellow leaves fall from the native oak trees in my backyard and thinking about what a momentous, historical day this is going to be. Everyone paying even the slightest bit of attention will remember where they were and what they were doing on this day.
I anticipate celebrations going on far into the night, a lot of calling in sick to work tomorrow, and on an even bigger scale, international celebrations spanning the entire globe. Fireworks, music, dancing, crying, hugging, praying.
Imagine how other countries will feel when they see that America has chosen hope over fear.
When we've chosen hope over fear. Smart over incompetent. Steady hands over reactionary knee-jerks. Wisdom over outdated ideologies. Unity over hatred and prejudice.
They'll say "welcome back, America."
