Get ready to be buried by 911 memorials
911 memorial is a huge campaign ad for Bush and it will be exploited for at least a week. I am aware of one relative is speaking in DC at a memorial.

At work they are running 911 "stuff" on a closed circuit TV. Requesting everyone to wear red white and blue on 9/10 (friday). There is a 21 gun salute at some corp next door.

Too bad for Bush that it falls on a Saturday, when noone watches TV. I wonder how hey can extend it to Monday and milk it all next week.

2. bush, who did nothing to stop 911, and according to graham has, early on
has covered up some of the threads leading to 911, used 911 to go after saddam hussein, and it is using it now to sell himself and his fascist government, which, as all fascist governments, needs to rely on an extremely heavy dosis of nationalism to survive.

i refuse to buy the hype. i chose to believe bush was a co-conspirator on what happened in 911 because he needed it so that he could hype nationalism and the war on saddam hussein, along with the creation of the patriot act and homeland security .. steps all leading to his ultimate dictatorship of this country.

i refuse to watch the hype and i refuse to be a part of those who allow bush to continue to lie.

3. It's a difficult thing to remember
And it's made even more poignant for me this year, coupled with 1000 US military deaths in Iraq and tens of thousands(?) of Iraqis.

This isn't about politics for me. If Bush & Co. try to exploit this for political gain, as they did during the Convention (disgusting!) and during the Olympics, I think many people will see it for what it is: Using the deaths of those Americans for poll points - craven.

4. It's on a Saturday. If we're not being inundated now,
we're not going to be inundated quite the way we were for the last two years.
