cross section of our country

i love watching him..... anyone who is undecided just needs to watch this man
whether its a speech or a question & answer, this man should be president. he knows the issues, knows how to speak, knows humility, knows this country, and knows this country is hurting and needs him!

9. sweet point. that only at the convention did bush mention
anything about health care (after 4 years)
but we only had to wait 24 hours to find out what that plan is: to increase medicare 17%, making it the largest increase in history

12. The best thing about Kerry is he stood up to Gov. then and he still does.
His voting record and initiatives he's worked on are all for hard working men and women. He is in touch with people. Not just a guy who would have a beer(or keg) with you.

13. Thanks for the notice. Yes, he's on message, and it's depressing.
I have been avoiding a lot of these speeches, because I'm very upset about the split in the Party. The people I know personally are also upset about it, but so many here seem to not even see it. All they do, when anyone mentions it, is get angry, and make personal attacks. Like that's somehow going to heal that division.

In 2002 and the early part of 2003, DU and most DEms were united in speaking out against going to war in Iraq. We felt our unity in our disgust of our nation invading a sovereign country, without provocation. I don't remember Duers having doubts that this invasion was WRONG.

Now, we are told over and over that it was only wrong in the way it was done. It was only wrong that we went it alone, and spent 200billion$ of our own money, rather than sharing that cost with other nations. It wasn't wrong that we invaded another country. It wasn't wrong that we have killed untold thousands of innocent people. NO, it was only wrong that we spent so much of our own money, and went in alone.

This is what it finally comes down to. This is the divide, folks. Others have brought this up here, and are shouted down. Others have spoken their grief about being in this war at all, and are told to shape up or leave. Yet, DUers turn around and tell everyone to work their tails off for this candidacy. First, it's "Leave if you're going to be that way", then it's "Forget what you are feeling, and work your butts off". And this is what it's all about.... because some just can't swallow the idea of having to say "I change my mind.... the war was really OK, we just should have spent more of other people's money to kill innocent Iraqis, and bomb the shit out of their country."

That's the divide, folks. Those of us who felt so strongly against this war for MORAL reasons, not MONETARY reasons, are now being told we're not being "LOYAL". We're "betraying our party".

Isn't that interesting..... that's the same thing *wa said about those of us who protested against this EVIL, IMMORAL AND COMPLETELY UNSUPPORTABLE WAR.

So, tell us all to get the hell out, and have your own little party to yourself. The divide won't go away just because you get angry at me, and the rest who feel this way.

You say it's all $$$. We say it's imperialism and MORALS.

I'm sick.

:puke:
