First, allow me to thank you for your continued fighting in the battle for America's future.
I've been a John Kerry supporter since the outset of his presidential campaign. I have followed the process closely since then. I've watched as near vile propaganda has been unleashed in an attempt to smear Senator Kerry's record.
I commend you for not lowering yourselves to the level of the Bush campaign. That being said, in light of the recent development of the Bush camp attempting to squirm their way out of the town-hall presidential debate, I think our campaign has been presented with a real issue that deserves to be brought to light and slammed home. Bush's excuse regarding the fear of people posing as non-partisan is a weak one, if for no other reason, because it applies to John Kerry just the same.
For lack of better phrasing, George Bush is obviously scared of the open format that this debate would carry. I suggest to you, or even urge you to bring this to light. Publically ask President Bush for his reasoning. Every presidential election in recent memory has had 3 debates....why not this one? The President runs no more risk of receiving a partisan question than does John Kerry. PLEASE, slam this issue home until the voting public demands the answer it deserves from George Bush.
Force him to either take part in this debate or pay the consequences of skipping it. This is a real issue that deserves to brought to light. It can do nothing but help our cause.
I thank you for your time. Keep fighting the good fight.
