Feel Bad For Obama - His Voice Is Slightly Cracking and He Wiped A Tear Away Two Times
Edited on Mon Nov-03-08 06:46 PM by Median Democrat
This was at the start of the NC rally where Obama offered a few words about his grandmother before he went into his stump speech. He became a stronger and steadier as the speech went on, and as he went into his stump speech.

1. That's just too sad, and I'm sure that the victory will be bittersweet for him

4. His Opening Remark Was That This Election, Regardless Of Outcome...
Would be bitter sweet. He also thanked John McCain and Cindy McCain for their condolences.

2. That was GENUINE emotion ...
I'm sorry to think of this in political terms, but I'd like
to think that maybe there are a few undecideds out there who
were moved by it.

7. You Can Tell That Obama Doesn't Like To Show Emotion
He kept on wiping the tears away like he was just trying to scatch his eye.

8. I'm not that emotional, but seeing that made me cry.
What horrible timing, what a loss for their family and how unfortunate that she missed seeing her grandson win this election. I feel so bad for him.

9. grace under pressure
Almost anyone else would be ready to crack emotionally after 20 months of campaigning, and then to be so close to the finish line when you lose one of your biggest fans and heroes... The fact that he is still standing up is absolutely remarkable.

10. Madelyn Dunham lost her battle with cancer today, but
her beloved grandson is still in the fight of his life to become our 44th President.

Will everyone make a donation, however large or small, in honor of this great woman and insure that Obama has all the resources he needs to fight whatever dirty tricks the GOP and McCain camp try to pull in the next 24 hours??

DUers, we are only $13,335 away from our fundraising goal. Wouldn't it be a lovely symbol of the power of individuals working together to achieve great things to reach that goal on the last night before this historic vote?

Please give what you can. Let's make HISTORY together!

11. He is NOT stumping right now......
... although he has said these words before, he is saying them with more sincere emotion than I have heard since the "Closing Argument."

Barack's gonna be fine.

And we're gonna be fine.

Together.

I saw that too, and didn't want to believe he was crying. Now I'm crying - how weary he must be, how
disappointed that he wasn't at his mom's side when she passed, and now not with Toot when she continued her journey. My heart absolutely BREAKS for him!

14. that was sad...
I know his world just got rocked, and I can't imagine what that would be like the day before the biggest day of your life. I hope he feels a little bit of the love that is being sent his way.
