I'm getting all choked up watching Schoolhouse Rock with my kids.
We've been talking a lot about the election, and I've been explaining how the electoral college works, and the branches of government, etc. Today I had the brilliant idea of breaking out the Schoolhouse Rock DVD I've had since they were too little to appreciate it.

Anyway, we're sitting here watching the Amercia Rock videos, and I'm getting all emotional and choking back tears. Why?

Because god damn it, I love my country. And fuck anybody who says otherwise.

2. Oh, I loved those!
As a kid, I used to watch them in between the Saturday AM cartoons.

6. I read once where an ESL teacher taught the preamble to the constitution
with "We The People"

Classic series and dammit if Obama isn't Verb!

8. America Rock Rocks
But there's one that sort of pisses me off...."Elbow Room"....for whitewash of genocide reasons.

9. My GF (a teacher) and I were watching some of those this weekend.
I still love those mini-lessons. I have had the preamble committed to memory for almost 40 years because of SHR. My favorite tho is the 19th Ammendment...very catchy tune!

10. That's a good one.
But I've always been partial to I'm Just a Bill, even since I was a little kid. And watching them all again today, I gotta admit Little Twelve Toes totally rocks.
