Stomach ache commisseration thread.....anyone else?
Everytime I think of tomorrow and tomorrow night, my stomach hurts. I am NOT being negative here, I really think Obama's going to win. I have very little doubt of this!

But just the anxiety of it all, how much is hinging on this, it's making my stomach hurt something fierce. I'm trying to distract myself, but it's not working too well (hello, here I am on DU).

Anyone else?

1. I'm feeling very angry with my Republican co-worker today.
I need to get over this anger. I think it's relief or anxiety or something.

9. I have a co-worker whose misery is making me feel happy.
She's a HUGE UT fan and UT lost to Texas Tech this weekend in the Big 12 championship by ONE POINT. When I say she's a huge fan, I mean she's fucking OBSESSED. She has season tickets, goes to every game, went to this one and I know she was just bawling her head off after that loss.

AND she's a huge McCain supporter and a racist hag. So I know Tuesday will just compound her grief. It's awful, but she's such a horrible person I'm really enjoying this.

So think of it that way--how miserable your co-worker is about to be! Ah, I'm evil.

33. It's gonna be hard not to gloat - cause I work with a few wacko idiots
But I have decided, keeping Obama's theme of building unity vs tearing it apart - I won't rub it in. But I'll be in a damn good mood! I'm guessing, my rethug colleagues will stay away from me...

Which is just fine. :)

I have a few progressives here to go out to lunch with!

2. I am turning in knots.
That's part of the reason I will be wandering the residential areas of Raleigh tomorrow - so I have something to think about besides polling numbers!

5. That's a good way to describe it.
My stomach feels like a fist. I'm jumpier than a long-tailed cat in a room full of rockers. I KNOW it's going to be good, it's just so much anxiety building up and now it's SO CLOSE!

I'm a ball of nerves. Is it too early for a nice strong margarita on the rocks? LOL.

7. Nervous, but optimistic. Most polls show a clear lead. Unless people are
fucking with the pollsters, if most indications are that you are going to win, then you are probably going to win.

My daughter made some great homemade cookies this weekend, too, and there's some left over. Thanks! I need to get off the computer and chill out.

10. It's 2004 syndrome.
You actually have a mild to moderate case.

Rx: Call a few people who might be "on the fence" or offer to drive a neighbor to the polls. Take two aspirin and get beck to me on Jan 21st 2009

It should be all cleared up by then.

11. me, too

Don't know why. I am excited. Hopeful. My mom just sent me an email saying it was like giving birth-- so excited, so nervous, wanting a healthy baby, can't wait to meet baby, then nervous again.

That's pretty much how I feel.

I am also trying to savor this. It's history in the making. What an honor to be part of this great man's campaign...

No, I'm not going to say it -- but I'm thinking it.

Also spending a lot of time visualizing him in WH.

Passed an Obama supporter on busy street corner today (in red state)-- no McCain signs, but all of the other pukes signs were there -- and then there is a live Obama supporter, waving her Obama sign in the air and signing " -- for Obama! yes we can! vote for change!" Lots and lots of honks.

14. I visualize it a lot, too.
I visualize his inauguration, his family moving in, the first press conferences, the optimism. It makes me get all misty-eyed. Maybe all our positive visualization has helped.

21. I believe in the power of thought
as well as the follow through to the finish that good visualization offers...Like dreaming about hitting a tennis ball just the right way all night, and the next day you do.

Makes me misty eyed too - lately I've been getting teary over nothing and you know, I never cry. Hang in there! It will only be getting worse for me, I know it.

17. For me it's migraines
Spent most of Friday in bed. Even the medication didn't work as well as it usually does.

If I had a different body I'd probably just stay drunk until Wed. But any more than a drink or two just makes me sick, or gives me another migraine.

I've pretty much turned off the TV except for watching some TIVOed shows. I guess we'll all get through this one way or another. I just wish it wasn't so stressful.

20. I'm thinking that
tomorrow I might curl up o the couch and do a marathon of True Blood on Demand. I watched the first 3 or 4 episodes so must have several hours worth of catching up to do.

Though, I will probably end up spending quite a bit of time on DU with all the other nail biters.

18. I'm with you.
The anxiety has been BAD for me the last couple of days. I'm glad that I'm going to be a line manager for the Obama campaign tomorrow afternoon until the last person has voted. I'm also happy that I won't be home in order to watch the early polls close. I'm going to be working and keeping busy. If I start to really think about it, I get the knot in my stomach. I can't wait until this is over!

And not just from this campaign but from the last EIGHT YEARS. So yeah. I'm jumping out of my skin, too. Trying to chill out, though.

25. I am completely wired/ headache--stomach ache the whole deal!
Am I negative?

I don't know--I have spent eight VERY MISERABLE YEARS (actually make that over eight because the misery started when W won the GOP primaries in 00)

I cannot relax until this thing is over.

Yeah I am definitely in a state of nervous disarray!

28. Your not alone
I can't wait until this thing is over and Obama wins. I have a pretty good memory, so I still remember the sting when Kerry AND Gore lost to Bush...so, I'm dreading having to go through that disapointment again.

31. When I get nervous, I drive myself to vomit.
I break out in a sweat and continually feel the urge to dry-heave...my whole abdominal region feels like it weighs 3 tons.

Strangely, I have felt nothing more than a few passing jitters....so far. I'm hoping this is a good sign.
