I feel as I did when I used to have piano recitals - the day before was overwhelmingly anxiety-producing. that's why I got out of that business as soon as I could.
If anyone here ever read the book "Moonraker" by Ian Fleming, you will recall that there was a scene where Bond was attempting to stop the villain, Drax, who was cheating at bridge. Bond arranges to have a hand played which causes Drax to think he has all the cards when he's in fact, destined to lose, so Drax bets an enormous sum on the hand. Drax's partner, Meyer, was an unwitting victim of the scam which Bond was going to perpetrate and their was one great line which I'll paraphrase:
"In fact, Meyer was deathly pale, as though he was going to have a stroke."
That's how I feel today...
Gotta get a grip.
