tips for EXTREME LONG LINE waiting...
Edited on Sat Nov-01-08 02:14 PM by DubyasWorld
help others survive extreme long line waiting at the polls.

1. bring a stadium chair, a folding chain, a patio chair, an office chair... ANY FREAKIN' CHAIR!

2. bring 3-10 laptop batteries, depending on just how crappy your laptop battery time is.

3. bring tolstoy's "war and peace", homer's "the odyssey", hugo's "les miserables" or any other ridiculously long book.

4. bring cards and poker chips. you'll be amazed at how much more fun texas hold 'em is sitting on the ground.

5. bring a portable dvd player and 2-4 movies (don't waste battery time with that wingnut dud "an american carol").

6. bring pen and paper and write obama's inaugural address.

feel free to add your tip(s)!

3. I've already voted but
I think I'll buy some cookies and bottled beverages and take them to my local polling place for those waiting in line.

5. bring food, portable music player, umbrella maybe,
snacks you can share.

You mentioned cards and poker chips. Anything else to keep others entertained is good. Harmonica if you can play it well. I don't know if there are rules about providing entertainment. Anything to help people endure a possible long wait is good.

6. Anybody like Sudoku?
Or the NYTimes crossword puzzle?

If you get stuck, ask the guy or girl in front of you for a tip. Worse comes to worse, you can always ask another person.
