The Maine Democratic Party phone bankers have called me 4 times this morning. I take that

as a good sign of an energized and coordinated ground game. And it's a good thing they called, too, because they told me that our town's polls don't open until 10am. (I didn't know that because we've always voted in the evening before, but we planned to go in the morning this time.)

I realized when they asked me who I was voting for, "Obama or McCain?" they must not know that since they don't even bring up Cynthia McKinney.

6. This is a town of about 1400 people. Not sure what percentage of that is

registered to vote. Maybe they don't need to open the polls really early due to low numbers of voters?

I checked the town's website. Polls do indeed open at 10.

5. This is why I don't care for phonebanking.. I am so freakin' sick of political calls right now...

I will make calls right before or on election day, but I'm ready to rip the phone out of the wall right now.. ever ten minutes it's another political call from BOTH sides, and all different candidates. Some live.. some automated.. some robo. the last time I phonebanked, I had many good democrats tell me they were tired of getting calls constantly.

I think they're worthwhile toward the end to remind people to vote that day... but I just can't do it now.

8. I got that one a couple of days ago. My Obama calls are finally outnumbering those

slimy lie-filled McCain ones.
