Vicki Davis (SoE Martin Cnty, FL) wants to be famous Repugnant martyr. She is volunteering to through herself under the bus to protect her Republican appointed precinct clerks from public scrutiny.

Instead of allowing the public to view and record the closing procedures in her county so that discrepancies can be documented, she has insisted that the incompetent clerks may only be viewed and not recorded. Furthermore, since the public cannot interfere with the closing process the clerks can create a human shield to prevent the viewing of the ballot reconciliation and sealing of the ballot box for transport. She is so adamant that the incompetent clerks need to be protected that she brought in the States Attorney to help her enforce her backroom privacy.

This came about by way of Thunder Rising volunteering to work as a poll worker for Martin Cnty after the 2006 elections. The SoE office contacted me in July this year asking if I would help them for the August Primary. The clerk that I worked for in Precinct 44 was incompetent. Delegated all responsibility to her husband, who at the end of the day did not reconcile the ballots and released the ballot box unsealed for transport to the county. (Get this, no count of the ballots and an unsealed box)

When I brought this to her attention, Vicki Davis fired me to protect her incompetent clerk.
