3. Me too. These past few months are the first time
I have not been sad as to what might have been. The promise of Obama has made me feel better but I will always have a special place in my heart for him. I even wanted him to run this year for president. Oh well. Glad to see him campaigning in FL.

4. Me too! I wanted him for Prez. I still think he's the man for the job.
But of the Demorcratic candidates, Obama was my fave, and I know he will be a fantastic leader as well.

6. Yeah, Obama was my favorite too and Biden my second favorite after that
Kind of funny how that happens.

5. I'll always be sad, angry and yes bitter about what should have been.
With Al Gore in the WH, IMO:

No 9/11.

No Iraq, meaning over 4,000 Americans, Brits, etc. and probably millions of Iraqis still living, breathing, building their lives.

No unfathomable deficits that my kids and grandchildren will be burdened with.

No trampling on the Constitution.

No USA sponsored torture.

8. At times during Bush's presidency it has almost broken my heart in two
when I sit down and really think about what Gore must have felt at certain times, the total complete and utter feeling of frustration knowing that he actually won, and how differently he would have handled things.....he is truly an amazing man, because I don't know if I would have survived it.

7. Just think, if he was HALF the campaigner Obama is he'd be president .. AND
Joe Lieberman would be the VICE PRESIDENT.

Yuck... I'll take Obama Biden in '08 over Lieberman in '00 anytime - if it weren't for the 4000+ servicemen's lives lost under Dicktator Bush.

11. Al Gore would have been a magnificent president,
and nothing will ever assuage my grief at the Robbery of 2000. It is with me daily. I spent six years as part of a group dedicated to drafting him, and when it became evident he would not run this year, we sadly set aside the effort.

However, that is a separate matter from my full support of, and excitement over, Barack Obama. I am highly emotional over the prospect of his presidency, and seeing the vigor with which Al and Tipper, Bill and Hillary support him, well, that demonstration of strength and unity is inspirational.

There is no do-over for 2000. But there is hope, and a reawakening of the possibility that decency can be reinstated. I've always loved Al; now I love them all.

Gotta close -- can't see the screen.
