Morning Call Muhlenberg 10/31 Pennsylvania: Obama 53 (-1) McCain 43 (+2)
Today's tracking poll in PA shows Barack Obama holding a 10-point lead over John McCain. The election is 96 hours away and McCain is running out of time in Pennsylvania.

1. Ugh--even a ten point lead seems too close.

4. When you consider Kerry was up between 1 and 4 at this time in '04, it is not close

Obama's "53" is a VERY healthy number.

That is a good position to be in.

3. I don't care what McCain's number is, as long as Obama's is 51+....

In PA, I actually think most "undecideds" are closet McCain supporters. If Obama stays at 51 or more, we're fine.

I think PA will go this way:

Obama 52
McCain 45
Barr 2
Other 1

And I'm fine with that.

5. Looks like PA is going to be closer than we thought.
I believe it when people say it's closer than we thought.

Hopefully, if Obama can maintain this 10 pt lead, we can take PA.

8. Closer than we thought? 10 points is a HUGE win in PA......

Hell.... 5 or 6 points is huge in PA.

Remember... Kerry won by less than 3..... and he owns a house in Pittsburgh (his wife is heiress to the Heinz fortune).

7. I'm not the least bit concerned about PA- Kerry won it and we've registered a lot more Dems
since 2004. There are 1.2 million more Dems than Reps in Pennsylvania. There will be unprecedented black turnout, and there is a Democratic governor and secretary of state to count the votes.

10. This is a FIVE day tracker...
McCain moving up 2 points in one day means yesterdays sample must have been VERY good for him...but, on the plus side, Obama's change is not significant.

11. Yes, O only went from 54 to 53, so that is the key number.
M probably made his gains mostly among undecideds.

12. Yes, to move up 2 points means that McCain probably was within 2-3 from Obama yesterday
we'll see tomorrow.
