I don't get how Republicans have any support.

I mean they make so many enemies. They demonize the left, some books and presumably their authors, economists, people in debt, gays, minorities,Latin-Americans, Canadian-Americans, swedish-Americans, Colin Powell, British-Americans, the homeless, seniors on social security, environmentalists, women, unions, students, community organizers, celebrities, protesters, lawyers, the french-Americans, the large cities, the media where do the GOP expect to get votes. McCain even trashed the old boys network it is one dopey party. And who is left after that but McCain's as he called them " agents of intolerance." What a joke of a party. They never even consider even some on the right might want to try that wealth spreading malarkey and what is so wrong about being social it's the biggest self destruct in history. The polling is confusing as surely they have ticked off most of America by now. It doesn't even make the slightest bit of sense they are not laughed off the stage by now. IF they are not done by now surely their future is limited as their circle of allies are slowly but surely diminishing.

Republicans want people to be afraid. Afraid that the boogeyman can only be dealt with by Republicans. Afraid that Democrats will socialize everything. Afraid that Democrats in power can't protect them (from what, no one can tell). Fear that Democrats will turn their kids gay. Fear, fear, fear.

All bullshit, of course, but a lot of people are too stupid to see through it.
