I am very excited about this prospect.

This is a man who knows how to succeed in Washington, and a President Obama could have no better man in his corner.

6. White House Chief is a big job but Rahm Emanuel is bigger than that...

I've said a lot of negative things about Rahm Emanuel but he's a bigger gun than a White House Chief of Staff. I think he's got his eyes on bigger things.

If he does become speaker at some point (say, around 2012), he'll be a thorn in the side of many a progressive Dem (including myself) much of the time -- but he'll also be crazy effective.

As much as many DU'ers hate it, the best speakers are often assholes who know how to herd the cats.

10. rumor or not - i actually love rahm emmanuel - it does help sew up

the jewish vote in florida
