But people here defend her, as they should.

People who post concerns here should be defended as much as Maddow is.

1. I'd venture a guess that Rachel DOES post here
And that she's been called a concern troll. :)

4. That's faulty logic. All because she is a genuine pill doesn't mean everyone is, especially here.

The McCain campaign gives out "points" to astroturf disruptors, after all. And there are a few PUMA asshole DUers who enjoy
posting their shit here.

5. Well, yes, someone who came on here that said "McCain will win" would get flamed.
If someone on this sight said "I think McCain will win this election" on here, they would get flamed, and they would DESERVE to get flamed. That attitude doesn't help anyone, it just creates more panic.

Rachel can say whatever she wants. She's an adult with an opinion of her own and that's fine. But I wish people would stop pretending it's all part of her "master plan" to motivate us. It's not. She just worries a lot.

6. If someone asked if McCain and Palin would have a place in Obama's admin
you're damn right they'd get flamed, and probably banned too!

7. The concern troll trolls are the ones who should be hammered. And stoned.
They are the true disruptors, stifling all discussion through Republican-esque bully tactics.

Just my opinion. It's right, though.

8. I love Bill Clinton but I'll hammer his ass to the wall at times
I love Jimmy Carter but he's taken some heat he deserves.

I don't see why it's all or nothing with some folks but then I'm not much of an extremist and I call 'em as I see 'em. Also, since no one has bothered to nail her ass up to a tree, I figure Rachel isn't perfect.

I love her but the handwringing is tiresome, I just don't feed off of it at all. My flight or fight is heavily balance towards the fight. Fear transforms to anger, it is very seldom that it motivates me to flight and I see it as grave levels of weakness. I respect the woman too much to not be turned off by the near cowering and fatalism.

How anyone gets UP on down? I guess we are all different but wow, it makes my head spin.

"Concern troll" is a cutesy insult to throw at someone when they say something that challenges your limited little little worldview and you don't have a reasoned response available. It's both an act of intellectual laziness and intellectual cowardice. I wish people would stop, but they won't. Oh well.

Maddow scares some people on DU, because she is a genuine intellectual, as opposed to a mindless partisan ditto-head. She would be banned on DU within a week.
