It would be good for the Nikkei to drop tonight
Though I do not want the markets to break down and will root for them after Tuesday, the Nikkei 225's 2000 point rally off its lows earlier this week has added buoyancy to our markets and a continued short term spike could offer a boost for McCain. It's opened down 300+...

6. if a market moves up 2000 points in 2 1/2 days
it's actually healthy to pull back. that kind of volatility is bad for investors because it causes people to chase stocks or get squeezed out of positions.

13. yes they do
Nobody is going to change their mind on who to vote for based on how the markets do in the next 3 business days. It's pure Dumbfuckery to think otherwise.

2. dude - not good
We don't want the economy to tank any more, and wishing for bad moves is asking for trouble. These are peoples lives here. Obama is going to win Nikkei moves up or down.

3. The markets are little more than a story line for the economic woes
of this country. Regardless of what happens in the markets between now and Tuesday, healthcare is not going to become more available or affordable, jobs will not be created and foreclosed homes will not be saved.

17. Looks like you're getting your wish.
And you'll be happy to know I've got a fair amount invested there, so now I won't switch my vote to McCain Tuesday.
