Nelly Negative. interviews Obama then goes negative
im really fed up with maddow. every time she is on now she cant resist being negative. her comment about seats being empty at an obama rally made me mad as heck. we are her audience, perhaps its time to tune her out.

Maddow looks at issues from every angle. She's an intellectual with good horse sense. We don't need anyone validating us 24/7, we need someone who makes us think.

Just because you don't get her doesn't mean she is wrong and you are right...

I'm getting really sick of the Maddow Concern Patrol today... :eyes:

15. Do we HAVE to have a new "Rachel sucks" thread every friggin' day?
I'll say what I said on yesterdays: I don't see what she's doing that's so awful. I listen to her on my way home. Her second hour is a replay of the previous night's TV, and maybe I'm missing something without the visual component. But I sure didn't think the Howard Dean interview was as horrible as some people here were saying, for example.

I agree that the phrase "Talk me down" has jumped the shark. And I disagree with the people who seem to be arguing that we all have some sort of obligation to watch or listen to her show because she's on our side: If you don't enjoy the show, leave it be. Veople don't all like the same things, and there's nothing wrong with that. But I think she's pretty good.

Stephanie Miller remains my all-time fave, of course.

She is keeping people focused, she is doing EXACTLY what Obama himself has asked we do- we can not afford to be complacent. My latest campaign email actually says:

Subject: Complacency

Overconfidence is a weakness. Too often, when we think we've already won, victory passes us by.

Busy Democrats don't bother voting. Independents, newly registered voters, and college kids don't take the time to follow through.

Its a shame she is, at least at the moment, still kinda stuck in his shadow.

I agree with you about the negativity. I wish she would be a little less doomy gloomy. We do not need a cheerleader, but a little dose of neutral would be much more to my liking. Yet for it all, I get much more out of an hour of her than I do out of an hour of KO.

Though, I find I am growing past either. Everything they say I find here on DU 6-24 hours prior to their saying it. Anymore, I turn them on more to support MSNBC in putting them on than because they draw me in.

We need to keep our eyes open and be ready and most of all, not sit back like we own this. The one person in TV "news" that has been a rare and honest voice for a reality based view of the world is Rachael, and still people here attack. Dose someone have to tell you everything you want to hear, just how you want to hear it? Give it a rest and go bash someone who deserves it, I don't believe in eating my own.

And the nelly nickname is an insult, I'd suggest you rethink that.

65. I don't like her and I stopped watching
I have watched Keith for several years now and contrary to what people say. Keith backs up everything he says with FACTS. On KOS right now there are numbers to back up the FACT that early voter turn out by first time and voters who haven't voted in the past two presidential elections is up 20%. That is just one example of her opinion. In GA over 3 million vote in presidential elections and half that number have already voted. In NV and CO it is 2 to 1 democrats over republicans.
I just don't care for her not because she doesn't agree with Obama. She is entitled to her opinion as I am mine and I don't care for her. It is her attitude and tone. It is "Uncle Pat" a racist whom she laughs at a little too much for me.
