3. I haven't heard about the Easter Bunny running.
What do the election models look like with him in the race? Does he take more from McCain or Obama?

4. Reason for daily Dem gains - 1st in were heavy Repub absentee votes
I believe the "early" vote reported by Fla includes not only the votes at the early polling places but also the mailed absentee ballots which are always heavily Republican. That would explain why it gets more weighted towards Dems each day of early voting.

If you could determine how many of these votes were mail in absentees then you can determine the real numbers for early voters. I bet it has been heavy Dem all along.

6. I voted a week after early voting started
I got there as soon as the polls opened in the morning and there was already a line. I waited on that line about an hour and 20 minutes. This was not in a major city and also a very "red" area on the west coast. Think all these people were die hard McCane supporters? One man I spoke to on the line told me this was the 3rd time he had tried to vote. He said the other times he came the lines were even LONGER.

Christy has extended the hours which he said he wouldn't do. So who ARE all these people waiting on lines for hours to vote early? I said they are MAJORITY Obama supporters, like me. For what it's worth, my REPUBLICAN husband has NOT voted yet. I am not bringing up the subject of voting at all.

5. According to my estimation, Obama is currently leading by 9.38% and 272,000 votes when NPA's are
accounted for:

1) Assumption: NPA's split 55-45 for Obama.

Based on the info provided:

2.9 Million voters = 24.2% of total registered eligible voters have already voted.

Based on the figures provided that is

1.33 Million Dems
1.11 Million Republicans
458,200 Independents

Of the NPA's I estimate 252010 have voted for Obama, 206190 have voted for McCain.

This yields an estimated vote for Obama at 1.59 Million vs. 1.31 Million for McCain or a 272,000 vote lead for Obama in Florida.

By percentage that is 54.7% for Obama to 45.3% for McCain or a 9.38% lead.

I predict a 4 to 5% win for Obama by the end of vote counting Tuesday in Florida.

8. Here in North Carolina 52% of the '04 overall total has already voted
In '04 3.5 million people voted. So far over 1.8 million have already voted. That total probably doesn't count today plus Friday and Saturday, remain. So over 2 million should have voted early by Sat. Polls should be fairly empty come Tuesday.

Wonder what the total vote will be with (hopefully) massive new numbers of African-American voters included. Over 4 million, perhaps?

12. I have a boat up there...........
I live off Carmel Rd. Have a pontoon boat at a friend's deeded slip right off Exit 28. We get a free slip and they use the boat anytime they want.

It's very nice up your way. Tough traffic getting up there on a Friday afternoon, however.

So Myrick's up there, too. That sucks.
