Hysterical! More than 2/3rds of McCain's "crowd" of 6000 were bused in students
Edited on Thu Oct-30-08 11:53 AM by featherman
"A local school district official confirmed after the event that of the 6,000 people estimated by the fire marshal to be in attendance this morning, more than 4,000 were bused in from schools in the area. The entire 2,500-student Defiance School District was in attendance, the official said, in addition to at least three other schools from neighboring districts, one of which sent 14 buses. "

2. Same when he was in Dayton, Ohio, this week.
They even phoned our home and asked if we wanted tickets. I hung up.

They bussed in high-school and grade-school kids and still had empty seats.

31. Always accept opposition tickets.
Just because you have tickets doesn't mean you have to go.

3. The schools bused in students to a McCain rally?

My step father thinks the schools are brainwashing kids to support Obama.

16. What About The Missed Time From Their Studies & Schoolwork And......
heaven forbid one of the buses had an accident and some of the kids got hurt. If it came out that they were bussed to the event to make McCain look good - it would be a disaster for McCain. They are using these school kids.

25. Maybe they're studying propaganda in Social Studies this month.
Seriously, when I was in student back in '72, our Social Studies teacher covered misleading advertising, political and otherwise, and bad journalism. Apparently, he wanted us to become selective consumers.

Taxpayer dollars used to transport students to a campaign rally? That's quite over the line.

22. I was wondering about that when I saw a clip of one of his speeches this morning.
The entire background was filled with teen-aged kids just kind of staring off into space. Even when the crowd was cheering (piped in, perhaps?) they would just stand there. Not a very good image for cranky old mcRacist.

24. What possible justification could the school district have for doing this?
McCain's campaign is getting scarier and scarier. That people of any intellitual level would think this is appropriate is mindboggling. Isn't this similar to what the Nazi's used to do? This us frigging unbelievable. People, we better GOTV or we're going to face issues much worse than the economy melting down.
