Folks, regardless of your NFL affiliation -
Root like hell for Pittsburgh Monday night.
They play the Washington Redskins, and legend has it that if the 'Skins win the game just before an election, the incumbent party wins.
I know this will be hard on fans in DC, Cleveland, Cincy and Baltimore, but I want ALL pointers in our favor that I can get.
And as a lifelong Raiders fan, this pains me, but...GO STEELERS!

is Lamar Woodley. Yes, he'll be ready - no one runs on my Steeler defense :-).

8. Yeah, that didn't work out so well last time.
I had to endure the indignity of a Redskins' loss AND 4 more years of "Captain Awesome", or whatever he considers himself.

An old schoolmate is a Redskins QB and he married my childhood friend from across the street.

I have to root for the Skins UNLESS the Pats are playing...

Besides.......I hate the Steelers.

She was a typical new england girl, alot like me, except she got the looks! She comes from a great, easy going family.

They've been together since high school, so she isn't a gold digger.

She would tear Elizabeth up in minutes :)

And Cincy doesn't qualify under any - it's a comparatively new team.

22. You've got the legend reversed and it was proven to be crap in 2004.
Edited on Wed Oct-29-08 12:20 PM by Drunken Irishman
If Washington loses, the incumbent party loses. If Washington wins, the other party takes over.

Well, Washington won the weekend prior to the 2004 election and Kerry lost. So there you go.

but anything for Barack. Go Steelers plus Obama looked great with that Steelers' jersey.
