It's Coming... Wait for It...
The Obama campaign's latest ad, "Choice", is the campaign's first direct attack on Palin:

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/10/29/new-obama-ad-hits-mccains-choice-of-palin

It's quite effective, and it's just the start.

All of you who have complained for the past 8 weeks: "Why didn't Obama call out this?", "Why hasn't Obama criticized that?", "Why isn't Obama all over the Palin selection?", "Why isn't Obama talking about Keating?"

The reason? Obama didn't need to. He was far ahead in the polls. His campaign has been sitting back, waiting for the time to strike when it would be most effective.

That time, it's getting to be now. And if I were a betting woman, I would bet that tonight's advertisement is the last placid note in the Obama campaign. After tonight, they're going to go in for the kill.

The Obama campaign is masterfully run. There will be game changing stuff in the next 5 days out of his camp, and it will be interesting to watch.

1. Yep, time for holding back is over

Time to slam their hateful blathering down their throats.

Obama gave them plenty of time to hang themselves with their own words - and he will drive it home in spades I'm sure.

2. Good
I've been kind of wondering where the new ads are and why Obama hasn't seemed to be more aggressive in terms of putting new ones out but then again Obama's strategy has always been playing "rope-a-dope" and it's worked spactacularly well so far. I hope he gets some ads or something out there to help counteract that pernicious "Joe The Plumber" and "socialism" garbage.

GOBAMA!!!!!

3. I disagree about the reason Obama's working this now.

He's bringing it up because now he's well ahead, and can afford to bring it up. A month ago, or three, things were too close. He's a little freer to speak now, as few minds will be changed in the last few days, and the GOP won't have much time to capitalize on what he says.
