Of Course McCain's Polling is "Good" and "They will win"
People on DU get so upset when the McCain camp claims polling is good and that they will win. What in the world else would their campaign say? They could never come out and say "Our polling stinks and it is over."

There is both internal and external psychology involved in this. We have been reading that over the past two weeks there is de-moralized campaign staffers, fighting and nit-picking internally, etc. These statements to the media helps them manage the morale for staffers and volunteers. In addition it might help their flock think there's still a chance so they'll vote.

Not much different in football when an underdog goes into a game and claims they can beat the opponent even if they are favored to lose by 6 touchdowns.

3. The McCain campaign has
been saying that their "internal polling" has been good for WEEKS. And then, a reporter on CNN said on Monday that the McCain insiders were saying that their internal polling was "finally starting to turn around and show a tighter race"....finally? So they were lying that whole time about the internal polling being tied all along? This is why I don't believe a word they say.
