MSNBC stated this morning the McCain campaign has a NEW STRATEGY
that it is starting NOW to allow them to win the election.

The idea is so ridiculous, I couldn't even watch to find out what that grand idea might be....

The GOP is continuing to shoot itself in the foot, and many more Republicans are coming out for Obama every day, but we all must VOTE!!!

Every one of us who has not yet voted, please do so - This time for sure, every vote counts!

5. McCain has nothing else but to lead on the media for a few more days
They refuse to count him out because of what happened during the primary season. Reporters seem to be bored with writing about what has happened (i.e. fulfilling their traditional role). Instead they'd rather write about what might happen or what they want to happen.

50. McCain 6.0 lol! Does anyone know how many times they've tried to "reset" this pathetic campaign?
There was a very public "hard reset" about two weeks ago, and then there's the issue of his campaign's message changing almost weekly. This week's new and improved message has been the "Socialist / Spread the wealth" message which of course won't work. Remember when the message was simply that Obama was inexperienced?

This is getting embarrassing. Every time I hear McJackass say "and I've got the scars to prove it" I blush for the guy. He's never going to live this campaign down--it's the worst run presidential campaign I've ever seen.

Stanley Kubrick couldn't have made a satire this funny.

...can't believe McCain would try to play off his POW as the experience for POTUS. I've even heard that he's got the scars that prove he has bucked his own party (didn't know that he was a prisoner of war being a Republican). His playing on his POW experience during this GE is a disgrace...

38. They played a a new spot this morning and here's the strategy...
They're going back to the not ready/not experienced argument. But the new ad contains the word "yet." As in, he's not ready to be president, yet. The idea is to get people to think that they can have McCain now and in a few years, Obama will be ready to run again. Problem is, Michelle has already nixed that idea. She's has said in no uncertain terms, this is it. If they don't win, they're not doing this again.

And that doesn't surprise me. You'd have to go back a long time to find an example of someone who won their party's nomination, didn't go on to win the presidency and then ran again. It's just too hard to come in second. I can't think of an example in living memory.

that election night will be like freakin' Christmas for these huge corporations if they continue to make us believe it is a tight race.

I wish there was someone on DU who has done media buying for an ad agency that could fill us in on how and when the networks and cable channels will fix the price for election night or if it is something that is done months/weeks in advance, and therefore my theory would be wrong.

I hope enough people understand Obama's message today....though he is well aware that theft is possible and I have no doubt doing what he can to ensure such is not a success, he cannot do it alone, we all need to stand firm and be ready to fight for our country and they the powers now in control better be made aware of it...

"We the People are NOT going to take it Anymore", they for once need to fear us if Obama Biden are allowed to prevail in winning the war against perhaps the most corrupt government body this country has ever had the displeasure to endure...

63. There are basically just two days left in the campaign
Today and tomorrow. Not much happens in terms of the news cycle over the weekend and as far as I know none of the candidates are doing the Sunday morning shows. Monday they'll do their thing but by that point no one who is planning to vote is going to be undecided, in fact I doubt there are any true undecideds even now - the people who say they are undecided at this point are either strongly leaning one way but for whatever reason don't want to admit it or they aren't likely to vote.

At this point the only thing that matters is the GOTV operation. The two new voting groups are African-Americans who are already proving to turn out in high number, and the other is the youth vote which is the big question mark. If the 18-29 year old crowd doesn't slack off and goes to vote than we will win.
