6. This sign encapsulates the reality...
Edited on Wed Oct-29-08 08:33 AM by TwoSparkles
...that Obama is the FUTURE!

Obama is going to be a transformational President. A 21st century President.

I think some of the older generation (not all, but some) don't get it.

However, the young people get it. They get it in spades.

8. Not all of the young people get it.
I don't see that HS Football champ who called me a "Ni**er loving-fa**ot-jewboy"* back in Ohio 12 years ago "getting it" anytime soon. I am assuming they are still pumping out his type in spades in small town America.

*I'm neither gay nor Jewish nor have I ever had the fortune to be romanitically involved with an African American woman...but you can't fix that guy's special brand of stupid.

Meh, he's probably dead or in jail from meth.

10. True, some people are totally incapable....

of basic human decency.

The thing is--being an asshole or a liar--has become the new normal. Bush has made it "ok"
to be a completely devolved piece of scum.

Barack Obama will serve by example. He will lead us out of this darkness, and demonstrate that
being a decent, mature, compassionate and empathetic person--is cool.

A world leader who appeals to our "better angels" will change the trajectory of our entire world.

Yes, there will always be bad people in the world--like the football captain who said those ignorant
things to you. However, that behavior will be looked down upon.

For now, it's celebrated--because our leaders are just like him.

13. Very true. Sadly some of these kids have been indoctrinated with hate.
My friend's brother is 20 and is one of the most racist assholes I've ever met. And the other day my AA friend was called a N**** by a young guy at a gas station. Thankfully, they're many young kids who have rejected those type of views from their parents/grandparents.
