My conversation with a poll captain last night.
Yesterday...one of our older security people that works the shows at our venues (second job for him)...is a poll captain.

He said that a bunch of the poll captains had a training meeting yesterday. One of the things they were taught was how to deal with issues with the machines.

They were showing them how the printer that provided the "paper trail" worked. As they were showing them this...of about 20 or so fictitious votes...only about 15 of them printed when the vote was cast.

This guy said, "Is that normal?". The "tech" responded, "That's why there's a plus or minus (or margin of error)."

He said all these poll captains in training (40 or so) gasped.

He looked at me and said, "What the fuck do they mean plus or minus? They're talking like it's processed food. "Parts per million". These fucking machines shouldn't have margin of error. That's why all the SOS's got them to begin with."
