1. Everyone knows terrorists are far more afraid of corporate crooks
than war heroes.

Edited on Tue Sep-07-04 06:29 PM by rocknation
and it's from the http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,131692,00.html
">Fox News website, of course:

"It's absolutely essential that eight weeks from today, on Nov. 2, we make the right choice, because if we make the wrong choice then the danger is that we'll get hit again and we'll be hit in a way that will be devastating from the standpoint of the United States," Cheney told about 350 supporters at a town-hall meeting in this Iowa City...

18. Is that a threat?
Does Dick have some intel on which to make this accusation? On what basis does he make that statement against the Democrats?

He really, really needs to defend this quote. This might be the most dishonest and disgusting statement ever uttered by a politician. I think Dick is getting quite desperate...I'll bet he's scared shitless about the implications to his personal security if they lose the election. He may well face some serious criminal charges if Kerry becomes President.

19. I don't know
One white infidel as president is the same as another to them. If they were really determined to do it, even President Gore couldn't have stopped them. And don't say elected, because he wasn't.

22. "Elected" fit into the subject line better. When Bush went into office I
told my co-workers we would be in a war in the middle east soon. When 9/11 happened, I couldn't help but think it was partly in retaliation for "electing" Bush. I know it's far fetched, but nonetheless, it's been in the back of my mind all along.

9. The key word here is "again."
Every time they talk up terra they can't do it without having to say again. The failed to do their jobs once and they should be shamed out of office for trying to pass off their failure as the chimp's shining moment.

16. Well, I guess I'd better vote for Bush.
Then we will be loved throughout the world. We won't have to worry about terrorism at all anymore. It will be wonderful. I can just picture al Quaeda throwing flowers at our footsteps. Please, everyone, vote for Bush!!!

17. Bush has made us more unsafe
I'm begginning to worry about Al-Qa'eda attacking through weakend security days before Nov. 2. They know that we, unlike the Spaniards, put jingoism over loyalty to our country. Who knows, the Bushies might even stage one.

24. This is the type of thing democrats should use to rip Cheney's head off.
Edited on Tue Sep-07-04 06:54 PM by snippy
If a democrat said this, the republican party would make it one of their talking points for the next one hundred years. Every republican politician in the country and every republican pundit and every republican letter writer or talk show caller would attack such a statement 24/7 right up until the last poll closes on election day. And republicans would not do it by saying that the statement was an attack on or an unfair criticism of the other candidate.

Republicans would say:
This is an outrageous and lying slander against the men and women in the United states military who are willing to give their lives to protect this country. This is an outrageous and lying slander against the men and women in the intelligence and law enforcement communities who have chosen to devote their lives to protecting this country. This is an outrageous and lying slander against the men and women in the Department of Homeland Security who work hard and make many sarifices to protect this country. This is an outrageous and lying slander against the men and women in the United States Congress who are responsible for funding and exercising oversight over all of these people and their employers. To suggest that any one of these people would choose not to do their duty to protect America based upon the outcome of an election in which tens of millions of patriotic American citizens will vote for each candidate proves that Cheney will do and say anything not to protect America but to protect his own job. He is unfit.

Democrats should destroy Cheney with this.

27. Absolutely. He needs to be called on this!
It's totally irresponsible, and feeble. The Democrats need to respond to this.. it's so utterly wrong. FEAR is not a selling point for a candidate. I wish that old fart would go back to his hidey hole.. odd that he now goes all over the country... I think he was having a heart transplant for all those months... there was no reason for him to be hiding out...

26. Cheney:
"if the nation makes the wrong choice on Election Day it faces the threat of another terrorist attack".

I agree with old Dick-less Cheney. If Bush gets in for another four years we'll probably lose the whole continent.
