MSNBC Now: Palin in 2012?
I sure hope so. No amount of polishing is going to fix what's wrong with her. Obama would cruise to a second term.

2. But for what party? The Knee-Jerk Conservatives maybe, but not
Edited on Tue Oct-28-08 02:13 PM by HereSince1628
the R's. I suspect they tare going to be pushing something that looks a lot more like a William F. Buckley book.

3. Fine. Two parties are not enough to reflect the viewpoints in this country.
What would happen if we changed systems, and decided to go with a Parliament, instead of a Strong Executive? It would be harder to project empire, but that's not really working out so well now that the party's almost over. I watched an episode of the "West Wing" once, and in that episode, Toby and the Doc from Back to the Future were trying to set up a government in a former Eastern Bloc state. They wanted a system like ours, with a Strong Executive, but Toby thought that was a bad idea, since the country was emerging from years and years of dictatorships. I know England has the Queen, but she doesn't really do a lot. Just think, Bush would have been taken out as Prime Minister by the Republicans years ago.

I don't know, just a thought.

4. Actually, it's more than fine. 2 parties would put them at a disadvantage
We can only hope that the growing discomfort will become a party split.

6. If that happens, Obama may well be the first since Washington to
get EVERY electoral vote (and George was running unopposed).

8. Seems like Romney is already trying to get rid of her.
Should be very interesting watching the Republicans trying to figure out what kind of party they have. I just can't believe that the Fundamentalists have ANYTHING in common with the traditional (pre-Reagan) Republican. Of course, if the R party splinters, I'd say the Greens would split from Corporate Dems, but the Dem platform seems a little easier for people of all types from center left to swallow. You really have to be a right winger to stomach the R platform.
