NOW is the time for Rand Beers to step up to the plate
I've been thinking about this for awhile. The only person who's really made the Bush people sweat, who's actually drawn blood against Bush has been... Richard Clarke. Paul O'Neill came close, but he sort of buckled under the pressure the day after his 60 Minutes interview and claimed a kind of tepid support for Bush's reelection. Michael Moore has been a fly in Bush's ointment, but the average Joe/Jane Public doesn't take him too seriously.

Clarke made a bee-line for the jugular of Bush's campaign strategy: Bush claim to be the "anti-terrorism president". That was months ago, though, people have sort of forgotten.

That's where Rand Beers should step in. He needs to be front-and-center at Kerry rallies, and Kerry needs to remind voters that Bush's SECOND counter-terrorism expert resigned from the Bush administration in disgust, only to defect to the Kerry camp -- because Beers considered Kerry the right man to protect America from terrorists.

"Against All Enemies, Part II", by...Rand Beers...needs to be written and published SOON! Strike directly at the heart of Bush's reelection platform.

1. Beers resigned from the Bush Admn as a counter-terrorism expert when Bush
invaded Iraq. He started speaking out against Bush going to Iraq before finishing the job in Afghanistan in June 2003. We now know that the Taliban has regrouped in Afghanistan and has derailed scheduled elections twice. The only Afghan city that is relatively secure id Kabul.

Beers would be great on a TV ad pointing out Bush's failures in the WOT.

2. Rand Beers
is one of the neocon PNACster lying evil imperialists in the Kerry PNAC foreign policy team. He is enemy of the people.

Tar and feathers for those bastards would be most suitable.
