It's no different than when Obama went on Larry King.

You make Democrats look like idiots if you call to complain about McCain being on Larry King.

11. I was posting on another thread..
came up and saw more than on about McCain getting free air time.. whoa.. glad to find out it was only Larry King.. I thought for a second that CNN was giving free time to counter the paid Obama commerical.
You can tell we are getting close to the end. People are on pin and needles.. :hi:

14. Yeah but c'mon, it's Larry King! WTF are people going ballistic over?
I can understand the anticipation of election day but this kind of BS is ridiculous. Then people bringing up the antiquated fairness doctrine and all that shit.

But yeah, I kinda wish that other thread didn't make it seem like McCain got a free infomercial out of CNN instead of just a normal interview. It's just asking to start drama that would end with DUers looking idiotic with egg on their faces.

So yeah, hopefully the cooler heads will prevail in the end.

7. If that's all it is, then that's right
From the way the story was described here, I thought CNN was going to give McCain a block of free and unfettered air time, with no reporters and no questions (i.e. not news story coverage) akin to the block of time Obama is paying for.

8. Based on McCain's awful Meet The Press appearance on Sunday, wouldn't we WANT him to go on these
talk shows and further screw things up?

9. The hard and fast pitches of Larry King
not.

Larry King; for a veteran softball questioner, actually asks follow up questions. He will be a tougher interview than Brian Williams.

12. Calamity Howlers
Thom Hartmann played a tape of a speech by FDR. FDR used this phrase. It is very appropriate

One week to go. There's plenty of new traps awaiting McCain in the next week.

18. HAHAHAHA! McCain "punished" CNN by cancelling his
interview with Larry King over Campbell Brown's daring to ask Tucker Bounds a real question about Gov. Palin's experience. Now it looks as though he is begging Larry King for an interview because he needs the air time. I wonder if Larry King will bring up that cancellation and the reason for it.
